Leon Hearn / Director
Leon has over five years of diverse recruitment experience, specializing in sectors such as minerals, blast hole drilling, and, more recently, healthcare. Throughout his career, Leon has consistently demonstrated an ability to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with both clients and candidates. His key strengths lie in his perseverance and resilience, allowing him to navigate challenges effectively while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Leon takes great pride in his honesty and ethical approach to recruitment, qualities that have earned him the trust and respect of his network.

Before transitioning into recruitment, Leon gained valuable experience across various industries in both the UK and Australia. His roles spanned laboring, warehousing, sales, and drilling. Leon’s entry into recruitment came through his work as a contractor at a drilling company, where he eventually took on the role of recruiter for the organization. This hands-on industry experience provided him with unique insights that he now applies in his recruitment career.
Outside of work, Leon enjoys playing sport, seeing friends and spending quality time with his young family.

Lewis Houghton / Director
With five years of recruitment experience in drilling, civil construction, and oil & gas, Lewis has a proven track record of building multiple desks from the ground up and successfully partnering with businesses to meet their objectives. He is known for his resilience and steadfast commitment to honesty and transparency. Lewis values open communication and believes in providing candid feedback to both clients and candidates, a straightforward approach that has earned him a reputation as a trusted resource in the recruitment industry.

Outside of work, Lewis cherishes quality time with his wife and young daughter. Whether playing football (the real round kind), winding up Leon, enjoying the beach, or sharing a beer with friends, family is his top priority. Sean Paranihi / Recruitment Consultant
After a rewarding career as a professional rugby player, Sean has made an exciting transition into the field of recruitment. While the shift is significant, the values that defined his sporting life are discipline, resilience and teamwork which continue to guide his professional approach each day. He takes pride in demonstrating a strong work ethic, a commitment to continuous learning and a genuine dedication to doing things the right way.This new chapter has proven to be both challenging and fulfilling. The fast paced and people oriented nature of recruitment drives Sean to continuously improve and adapt. He is particularly passionate about problem solving, building meaningful relationships and learning from experienced mentors such as Lewis and Leon, whose leadership and deep industry expertise have had a significant impact on his development. What he enjoyed most was building genuine relationships and finding practical solutions for clients. That people-focused approach made recruitment a natural step, where James thrives on bringing the right people and businesses together in a way that delivers lasting value.
Outside of work, James is passionate about sport and fitness whether that’s tennis, running, or training and enjoys making the most of the Australian lifestyle. Before joining LH Partners, Phoebe built her career within the higher education sector, supporting individuals through complex processes and ensuring they felt informed, supported and confident at every stage. Her time travelling throughout South East Asia further shaped her global perspective and reinforced her ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds, a strength that underpins her approach to recruitment today.

Jonny Wilson
Jonny’s career has been shaped by hands-on work across construction and mining. He started out at 21 as a site supervisor in his family’s construction business, running multiple jobs across the UK and Ireland. Working on tough sites and large projects early on taught him the value of hard work, problem-solving under pressure, and getting the job done properly when conditions aren’t easy. Before moving into mining, Jonny also spent time in the financial industry as a supply chain consultant, working on large-scale projects. While it was a very different environment, it gave him a strong understanding of how workflows from planning through to delivery, how delays and poor decisions affect the job, and why attention to detail matters. That experience sharpened his commercial mindset and taught him how to operate confidently with stakeholders at every level, without losing touch with what actually makes work happen on the ground.
Jonny left that world behind and broke into the mining industry the hard way, starting as a Trade Assistant and getting stuck into the work to earn his place on site. He then moved into drilling as a Driller’s Offsider after securing work through LH Partners, becoming LH Partners’ first-ever contractor placed on site as a business. From day one, he embraced the long hours, physical work, and strong safety culture that drilling demands. Through consistent effort and a focus on learning, Jonny completed his Certificate II and was preparing to start his Cert III within nine months. When the opportunity came up to join LH Partners, he saw it as a chance to give back, helping others break into the industry, back themselves, and chase the same opportunities he was given.
Outside of work, Jonny doesn’t slow down much. He trains for marathons, ultramarathons and HYROX events, and has a strong drive to see the world and experience as much as possible, because you only get one crack at the whip.
